2026 Sourcing Bounty Box is here! And this year it features the magnificent Sun Moon Lake.

A sampler of 6 off-menu teas, freshly arrived from Taiwan. The teas are packed individually and delivered in a hand painted wooden box. This box contains the highlights from our sourcing trip this year and a few of them came straight from our luggage! 

Yuchi basin of Sun Moon Lake was chosen during the colonial Japanese era as a black tea breeding ground because of its mountain-lake microclimate and a favorable soil acidity for tea cultivation. This year’s bounty features what the lake and its nearby region has to offer. 

The bounty box tasting journey will first drop you off at the misty Sun Moon Lake, where you can get a taste of colonial Japanese's influence by sampling two set of white and black tea duo, made with experimental cultivars that started during the Japanese occupation. The trip then brings you to Lugu, a short drive south of the lake, where you taste two roasted Dong Ding oolongs and experience two different roasting levels side by side. 

Sun Moon Lake is one of our favorite destinations. We love the misty morning strolls, the flickering firefly visits, and of course, all its juicy black teas. Outside of the Bounty Box, we have two black teas already on our permanent rosters (Jade Rouge & Crimson Grace) if you want a wholistic experience on all things Sun Moon Lake.

These bounty boxes are very limited in quantities, so don’t forget to act quickly!
