Lily, almond butter, maple sap

Known as the Stolen Cultivar, #2028 is a lighter style of oolong tea cultivated in the small town of Yilan in northern Taiwan. The #2028 cultivar was created by Taiwan’s Tea R&D (TRES) Center and shares ancestry with the famous "milk oolong" cultivar. Its strong immunity to bugs and diseases makes it an apt candidate for organic tea making. Though its official release was canceled due to jejune politics, a few lucky tea farmers managed to get their hands on this floral and creamy variety.

Our producers, the Lin family, are the model organic farmers in their community. They always serve their teas in a tall and skinny aroma cup, a reminder to taste with all the senses and not just the palate.

This tea tastes like maple and almond butter and smells like a field of wildflowers. It pairs beautifully with a light afternoon snack – we suggest our tinybars.
