Regular price $20

White tea · medium oxidation · unroasted

Apricot, wood plank, vanilla

This lot of Assamica tea tree was planted during the Japanese era, originally intended to produce copious amounts of black teas for export. 100 years later, they are still thriving in the northern part of Taiwan in Sanxia, just 30 minutes outside of Taipei.

In the summer when the weather is hot and humid, they produce bright and juicy black tea in honor of its tradition. In the spring, they turn their harvest into delicate and warming white teas. This batch captures an elegance from an assam variety that's typically bold and brash. We find its woodsy and stone fruit forward aroma sweet and charming.
