Flavor Profile
Damped tree moss, herb bouquet, grass jelly
Aged oolong tea · low oxidation
This vintage Taiwanese tea from over thirty years ago was kept for personal use by the family that makes Graceful Hill (Milk Oolong).
We found it on one of our hunts through tea gardens and begged to feature it here. Like its younger counterpart, Graceful Hill ‘85 isn’t widely consumed out of the family, let alone exported.
When we look at the leaf with our tea nerd eyes it seems very similar to an aged baozhong tea.
This surprising tea is both darker in color and lighter-bodied than one might initially expect. Earthy and herbaceous, drinking this tea is reminiscent of a wood barn in spring.
