Formosa Assam | Black tea · high oxidation · medium roast

This lot of tea trees is now over 50 years old and has been farmed without any chemicals or fertilizers. Even weeds are pulled manually. This black tea is deliciously malty and fruity with a flare of woodsy earthiness. The darker roast brings a sense of calm and ease. This tea reminds us of a wise grandpa reading his favorite novel in an armchair; he is warm and steady.

Crimson Grace | Black tea · high oxidation · unroasted

Crimson Grace carries itself with poise. Its flavor is complex and bold. Aromas of flaked grapefruit peel and roasted cashew balance a citrus top with brown sugar notes. The finish is deep and soft like corduroy. If you think this is poetry, we dare you to try it. Among us, we describe it as the Alcohol-Free Negroni. This tea is a conversation with a dear old friend – catching up with joy and excitement in the warmth of good company. 

Winter Tea Selection

Winter is marked by dropping temperature and reduced Yang energy in our surroundings. This is a notable season to nourish our bodies and cultivate our Yin energy by allowing ample rest. Lowered outdoor activities level means we metabolize more fluids through our kidneys as opposed to the skin. Maintaining kidney health is crucial for its function, therefore it's best to avoid foods that cause fluid retention, particularly those that are raw, cold, or overly rich. In tea selection, we suggest a set of black teas for their warming qualities. Brewed hot, the maroon-colored infusion cultivates our yang energy and enhances blood circulation. The roasted Formosa Assam is wholesome and calming, while the bright and juicy Crimson Grace adds optimism and sunshine to the dark winter days. Together, they offer a comforting embrace for the body and soul.
